Hello, I'm back.

I've long believed that my words should not just be used for light entertainment. Every once in awhile a piece of my outstandingly mediocre literature should be written that aspires to make life better for everyone who takes the time to read it. This is one of those literature. After years of struggle, I've finally figured out how to eat cookies in bed without getting crumbs all over the place. The trick is to break the cookies into small bite-sized pieces while still in the box or bag, then, and only then, pop the pieces into your mouth. Get it? There are no crumbs because the cookies are never bitten, they're only chewed. Of course, there is some downside risk. Whenever you bring an entire box or bag of cookies into bed, there is a strong likelihood that you will eat every cookie in the box or bag. This means that your bed, while crumb free, but you will be filled with regret. Not to worry. In a future blog, I will explain how to handle regret. Like cookies, it involves breaking it into bite-sized pieces.

You and I are not very different from a flower. Just like a flower is unique, we are unique. All of us have something special that makes us as beautiful. Do you know what makes us special?

Now the answer to that can be a little difficult of find, because sometimes life has a cruel way of picking out our petals, breaking us in two and throwing us into the trash. Now when we're broken, it’s very difficult to feel special.

I was broken and I've been broken, lost and broke many times in my life, but the people in my life were able to reach into the trash can and make me whole again. If it was up to me, I would have never been able to do that. And this is why if we have great people in your life no matter how broke, how lost or how broken you become they can piece you back together.

I've been told that the act of forgiveness frees the person doing the forgiving from harboring dark, and ultimately self- destructive, emotions. While there is no guarantee that the transgressor will be relieved of shame and guilt, the forgiver will always feel better. In other words, forgiveness is, first and foremost, self-serving. Now I am all about self-serving, so for the last few years I have been practicing a sort of forgiveness mantra. Upon awakening and before retiring, I visualize those who have harmed me and imagine myself flowing love and compassion toward them. Additionally, I wish for them to have everything they could possibly want. Be free from problems, sadness, diseases and question marks. I'm happy to report that it's working. Slowly, over time, anger has become resentment has become indifference has become amusement has become affection. And now I'm free and my heart is full.

In life, there are 2 things involved.

Its either you're a man, or a woman. If you're a woman, you're safe. But if you're a man, there are 2 things involved...   

Its either you're a civilian, or you're in the military. If you're a civilian, you're safe. But if you're in the military, there are 2 things involved..

Its either you're in the office, or you're in the warfront. If you're in the office, you're safe. But if you're in the warfront, there are 2 things involved..

Its either you kill somebody or somebody kill you. If you kill somebody, you're safe. But if somebody kill you, there are 2 things involved..

Its either you're buried, or you body is used as manure. If you're being buried, you're safe. But if you're being used as manure, there a 2 things involved...

Its either you're used to grow flowers, or grow trees. If you're used to grow flowers,  you're safe. But if you're used to grow trees, then there are 2 things involved...

Its either you're being made into furniture or made into tissue paper. If you're being made into furniture, you're safe. But if you're being made into tissue paper, then there are 2 things involved...

Its either you're being used by a man, or a woman. If you're being used by a man, you're safe. But if you're being used by a woman, there are 2 things involved...

Its either she uses you for the back, or the front. If she uses you for the back, your safe. But if she uses you for the front, there are 2 things involved,

Its either you contract gonorrhoea or HIV. If you contract gonorrhoea, is treatable. But if you contract HIV, there's only  1 thing involved...

You're dead.
